A Scout is:
24 hours a day. Seven days a week.
Troop 39 Enhancements:
No frowns, scowls or furrowed eyebrows.
No magnesium fire starters or candles.
No sheath knives, camp axes or saws.
No AM/FM, cassette or CD players (78RPM record players 8-track tape players, and 220 volt reel-to-reel tape recorders are ok)
No snack foods such as chips & candy bars—unless they’re packed by patrols as part of one of your three square meals you have planned
We worry about how we look to the public and want our conduct to always be gentlemanly.
Whining is usually followed by toe amputation.
Don’t even think about picking up a rock. Bad idea.
No running. It ain’t worth hurrying for, anyway.
No physical contact or other horseplay.
No cursing, crude language, crude or suggestive jokes or euphemisms. (12th point of the Scout Law, enforced by Mothers and Scoutmasters everywhere.)
